Our mission at Secure Defense is to equip citizens with the skills, attitude and tactics to
ensure their safety in a dangerous world. By using simple and flexible defensive strategies, we
enable our students to handle and, more importantly, avoid potentially life threatening encounters.
Mental preparation and awareness are the foundations of an effective defense. Real world tactics
built on a few basic templates add to that foundation, and give the average citizen the ability to manage
threatening situations in a way that maximizes the opportunity to escape safely.
There may be times when escape is not possible for you, or your loved ones. In that gravest extreme,
when the threat of death is real, credible and imminent, courage must combine with training to use the tools
available to stop that threat and preserve life. The consequences of such an encounter are dire, every measure should be
taken to avoid it, but once committed, your defense should be swift, accurate and above all successful.
Citizens of the United States use firearms to protect themselves over 2 million times a year. The odds are
that at some point in your life, you, or someone you love, will be confronted by a person who means them harm. We
